I’ve always kept a fairly healthy diet. Recently I’ve been reading more and more about the benefits of a raw food diet. Although I agreed with the premise, I was quickly intimidated by the language, the recipes, the tools – essentially the entire process.
I didn’t know where or how to begin. I average about 50 hours a week at work and I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to devote the time. I connected with Julie through and just completed my first “raw cooking” lesson. We made a quick trip to a local grocery store and were creating recipes in a matter of minutes.
Julie is a great teacher, making each step clear. In the end I was amazed at how quickly we put together a week’s worth of meals. In a matter of a few hours, I had a soup, four entrees, and three desserts. And most of these meals I could easily tackle after a long day of work rather than preparing them all on a weekend.
My “meat and potatoes” husband tried his first raw food dish, Fettucine Alfredo, and said, “I could do this.” I plan to continue my lessons with Julie to learn more and add greater variety. She takes the mystery out of the process and leaves a confident "raw chef" in its place. -
